I know a lot of people in my hostel now. I'm in a larger cheaper room, with lots of people that I all know. Hang out with a Dutch guy and two girls (British & French) during the day.
Went on the beach walk yesterday, organized by the hostel. The beaches are unreal.. still strange to believe that all this is real and not some theme park. Went to the bar downstairs at night.
Went to the park today and saw the opera house again (with my new friends though). I saw the flying foxes this time though, it's crazy how many there are and how big they are (check out pictures). Also made a friends with a cockatoo (pictures again).
Also figured out where I'm going. Leaving for Newcastle tomorrow (by greyhound) and then on to Port Stephens.
Miss everyone at home. Even though, I'm discovering that 6 months really isn't that long. I've met so many people that have been in Australia alone for over a year.
So are there a lot of backpackers there? Do you already know what your next destination after Australia will be? Not that it's necessary, I'm sure you can spend years there :)
